About the design

We matched the real Rawdah carpet as closely as we could: the color palette, the medallion in the center, the floral border running around the edge. The one piece we left out is the Saudi state emblem woven into the original, since we wanted to keep this neutral. A print on fabric can't copy a woven rug exactly, so a handful of small details differ too. RawdahDesk is an independent brand, not affiliated with the mosque.

Desk setup with the RawdahDesk olive Rawdah carpet desk mat

Made for the desk you sit at

One surface for the whole setup

80 × 40 cm. Keyboard, mouse and more on one mat instead of a small pad in the corner. Non-slip rubber base so it stays put, stitched edges so it lasts.

The real pattern

Same carpet, printed with care

Same colours, same medallion, same floral border and layout as the carpet in the Rawdah. The only thing we left out on purpose is the Saudi state emblem woven into the original. A few tiny details differ, since it is a print.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the mat?

80 × 40 cm. Big enough for a full-size keyboard, mouse and more, with room to spare.

What is it made of?

An ultra-smooth polyester fabric top with the design printed on it, plus a water-resistant coating so spills just wipe off instead of soaking in. A non-slip rubber base keeps it in place, and we stitch the edges to hold up to daily use. It's a desk mat, not a woven rug, so it stays thin, flat and easy to keep clean.

Is this a piece of the real carpet?

Pretty close. Colors, medallion, the floral border, the layout, all close to the real thing. One thing we left out on purpose: the Saudi state emblem woven into the original, since we wanted to stay out of anything political. A few small details differ too, since ours is a print on fabric, not a woven rug. It's a desk mat, not a piece of carpet. But it's as close as we could get it, out of respect for what it's based on.

Is it waterproof?

Water-resistant, not waterproof. Spills and splashes wipe off fine, but we wouldn't run it through the wash or leave it soaking.
